Milo was a regular guest and always welcome. Some dogs just make you feel good to be alive and he was sure one of those. Right from his first visit he was always walked off lead; we simply knew we did not have to worry about Milo.
He really enjoyed going through the vineyards – he would jump in every dam, sample the grapes and pick apples off the trees.
If we had a timid or nervous dog it was Milo who would settle them down and reassure them that everything would be fine.
In an ideal world Milo would live forever and in a way he does, but Easter 2010 was a miserable one for him.
His owners did the right thing and took him to the vet so that he could go peacefully and with dignity.
